Choosing a Mask
Find a CPAP mask that works for you!
If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and your next step is CPAP therapy, then now is the time to find the mask that works for you. There are three types of CPAP masks: full face masks, nasal masks, and nasal pillow masks. You want to make sure that the mask you choose is comfortable and corresponds with how you sleep. Your CPAP machine and mask are there to help you sleep better, not worse!
Types of CPAP Masks:
Full Face Mask
Covers the mouth and the nose to create a seal over both airways.
Nasal Mask
Covers or cradles the nose offering minimal contact with the face. This mask provides indirect airflow into the nasal airway.
Nasal Pillow Mask
Sits underneath the nose and uses two soft pillows inside the nostrils, which direct airflow. This mask features a minimal design and less facial covering.
